I'm having a problem trying to modify pictures. They are located on a second hard drive. It seems Vista has marked every file and folder on my other Hardrive (both partitions) as "read only". Even if I un-check "read only" I still can't modify files and when I close and reopen explorer they are all marked as "read only" again. Is this a bug or just something Microsoft did as a protective measure? Is there any way I can fix this? I've tried modifying using Irfanview but It won't let me save the files after changing them.

Can't Modify Pictures
Check to see if you have modify permission on the drive. From explorer right click on the root folder or drive and choose properties. On the security tab make sure your account is listed and has modify permissions allowed.
Thanks! John

Sorry. Should have posted. Resolved this problem. I had a posting problem earlier and it seems everyone saw my other post and helped me there. Thanks anyway.
